Keeping track of your cholesterol levels is essential for maintaining a healthy body. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when handling the data. For example, did you know that there are two types of cholesterol? LDL (low-density lipoprotein) is often referred to as ‘bad’ cholesterol, and HDL (high-density lipoprotein), is also known as ‘good’. The normal levels of cholesterol can depend on factors like gender and age, but the average is anywhere between 125 mg/dL to 200 mg/dL. A reading of 240 mg/dL and adobe is considered high and requires your attention. It’s important to have regular check-ups of your cholesterol levels, in order to stay in range.
Here is how to log your cholesterol in the Diabetes:M mobile application.
1. Open the app
2. Click ‘Log entry’
3. Choose the ‘Laboratory’ tab
4. Go to “Lipid Panel” and enter your total cholesterol
5. Additionally, you can enter your LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol) or Triglycerides
6. Click ‘Save’ and your entry is complete.
Furthermore, you can see all your past entries in the logbook feature on the main menu.
